KARE for Kids KARE for Kids, Inc. "Making the World a Brighter Place, One Child at A Time". KARE's main focus is providing the opportunity for every child in Dawson County to have a Christmas they deserve. We also provide year-round assistance on a referral basis, assisting with a winter coat, tennis shoes, medical needs or specific items needed for school. In 2011 we sent over 30 children to prom. We are now accepting donations for our Prom Event; prom dresses, accessories, cash donation, $50 to sponsor a child to attend prom.
